Meet Monika White
Monika White is a lifelong public servant, community advocate, and Democratic candidate for South Carolina State Senate District 15. Her career has been centered on strengthening families and serving others. A graduate of North Carolina Central University, Monika currently works as a Child Support Senior Case Coordinator with Mecklenburg County Child Support Services, where she helps families navigate important issues affecting children and their well-being.Service extends well beyond Monika’s professional career. She is the founder of Layers of Love, a nonprofit outreach ministry serving individuals experiencing homelessness and families in need through food distributions, clothing drives, and community service. She has also volunteered with numerous community organizations and remains active in leadership and ministry at Foundation A.M.E. Zion Church. Her record of involvement reflects the principle that has guided her throughout her life: Service over Self.Monika brings civic and leadership experience to her campaign as a graduate of the James E. Clyburn Political Fellowship and the York County 101 Program, a former Secretary of the York County Democratic Party, and a former poll worker in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She believes effective leadership begins with listening, bringing people together, and staying connected to the communities one is called to serve. Her campaign for Senate District 15 is rooted in service, integrity, faith, and a commitment to representing the people of York County.
